Position Overview
The Air Conditioning Engineer / Supervisor will work across a diverse range of HVAC systems, supporting installation projects, reactive callouts, and planned maintenance activities. This role requires a confident and adaptable engineer capable of working within high-end residential properties, commercial offices, schools, and bespoke industrial environments.
You will contribute to the quality and delivery of installation works, assist with project planning, advise on materials and equipment, and support the growth and development of the broader engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out installation, servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of AC and HVAC systems, including splits, VRVs, chillers, AHUs, LTHW/chilled water systems, MVHR, ventilation, air source heat pumps, and other mechanical systems.

Support the HVAC Manager with project delivery and installation oversight.

Assist with both reactive and planned service operations.
*
Provide occasional call-out support during working hours.
*
Identify variations, additional works, and improvement opportunities, reporting them to management as required.

Advise on required tools, materials, equipment, and subcontracted services.
*
Work towards key performance indicators, maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Support the development of junior assistants and contribute to building a strong engineering team.
*
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with the HVAC Manager and colleagues.
*
Demonstrate ambition and readiness to progress into a supervisory or senior engineering role.
Qualifications & Experience
Required
*
City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 (or Part 2) in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
*
Category 1 F-GAS 2079 certification
*
Time-served engineer with broad HVAC and building services experience
*
Confident working across varied AC and refrigeration systems
Beneficial

Additional qualifications in electrical, plumbing, or heating disciplines

SMSTS, SSSTS, PASMA, or IPAF certifications

Previous supervisory experience or a strong desire to step into a leadership role
