We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to residents in our care home. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for enhancing the quality of life for seniors. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both residents and staff, ensuring that care plans are effectively implemented and that the highest standards of care are maintained.
Responsibilities
* Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication administration.
* Supervise and support junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Maintain accurate records of resident care and progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
* Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.
* Drive residents to appointments or activities as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transport.
Experience
* Previous experience in a care home or senior care setting is essential.
* Supervising experience is highly desirable, demonstrating leadership capabilities within a team environment.
* Strong communication skills are required to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
* Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation is advantageous.
