Job Purpose
To support the Quality Assurance function through the inspection, monitoring, and continuous improvement of product and process quality. The Quality Technician plays a key role in identifying non-conformances, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Perform in-process, final product, and incoming inspections in accordance with AQL sampling standards.
* Support the execution of internal quality audits and maintain audit documentation.
* Assist in the investigation of product quality issues and support corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
* Use data analysis tools to monitor trends, track defect rates, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
* Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and inspection criteria.
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality checks, defects, and resolutions.
* Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
* Support calibration and maintenance of inspection tools and equipment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in quality assurance and a data-driven mindset.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or higher.
* Internal Auditor training to a recognised standard (e.g., ISO 9001).
* Understanding of quality control principles, tools, and processes.
* Experience conducting AQL-based inspections.
* Competence in analysing quality data and identifying trends.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Strong documentation and reporting skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic MRP systems.
* Previous experience in a quality assurance role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Desirable Attributes
* Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma.
* Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices).
* Familiarity with root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Ishikawa, or 5 Whys.
* Basic knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) methods.
