Midwifery Practice Leads – Community and Midwifery Led Unit

The role is to manage both community and midwifery‑led units, providing clinical and managerial support, leading a team, maintaining standards and contributing to quality improvement initiatives.
Main duties of the job
As the post holder, you will be responsible for the effective management of the ward over the 24‑hour period, monitoring and maintaining standards of professional practice, supervising, leading, directing and deploying the team to ensure Standards of Care are met.
You will work three days managerial and two days clinically per week.
Person Specification – Education/Qualifications
* Registered Midwife with current NMC Registration
* First‑Level Degree in a related healthcare discipline or substantial experiential equivalence
* Evidence of learning beyond registration evidenced by a relevant professional portfolio
* Master’s qualification in a relevant discipline or working towards one
* Professional Midwifery Advocate
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to prioritise workload

* Personal integrity and credibility
* Demonstrable track record of achievement of objectives
* Ability to think laterally and seek pragmatic solutions to problems and challenges
