Job Title: School Support Worker
Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour

We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Support Worker to join a specialist school in Skelmersdale supporting students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs.
Role Overview:
You will be working closely with students on a one-to-one or small group basis, providing support in all aspects of their school day. This may include personal care, mobility support, communication assistance, and engagement with sensory-based learning activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support students with PMLD in their educational and personal development.
* Assist with personal care needs including feeding, toileting, and mobility.
* Implement tailored support plans in collaboration with teaching and therapy staff.
* Encourage independence and promote a positive learning environment.
* Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding procedures.
Requirements:
* A background in support work or care is desirable but not essential.
* A genuine passion for working with children and young people with complex needs.
* Patience, empathy, and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing needs throughout the school day.
* Willingness to undergo an enhanced child-only DBS check.
