Teaching Assistant Location: Brent, NW London Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 4:00pm Pay: £2080-£2100 per month Start Date: ASAP Are you a dedicated individual who thrives on supporting children's growth, learning, and confidence? We are looking for committed teaching assistants to work in either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 in a welcoming two‑form entry primary school. About the Role As a teaching assistant, you will: Foster firm, reliable, and consistent relationships with pupils to help them feel settled and confident within our school community. Use appropriate strategies to support pupils' learning and language development, including through play, conversation, and structured interventions. Apply praise and constructive feedback to maintain pupils' interest in learning activities, helping build self-esteem, motivation, and personal and social skills. Promote awareness and respect for each child-regardless of religion, culture, gender, or ability. Plan, deliver, monitor, and evaluate interventions (e.g., speech and language, literacy, maths), liaising with SENCos, therapists, and other specialists to promote pupil progress. Maintain accurate records of pupil progress toward targets and attend review meetings to ensure tailored support. Supporting the Curriculum As a teaching assistant, you will: Support pupils in national and local learning strategies across literacy, numeracy, and early years frameworks. Assist pupils with basic ICT tasks and use resources effectively to support learning. Know and support the learning programmes designed for pupils, including those with SEN or additional needs. Prepare and maintain learning resources and promote their effective use.Who We Are Looking For Classroom experience as a teaching assistant is preferable-but not essential. Calm, reliable, and professional in all interactions with children and adults. A strong understanding of inclusive practices, safeguarding, and behaviour management. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, flexible approach. Familiarity with the national curriculum and early years' frameworks is desirable.Why Join Us?
