We are seeking an Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician for our Maintenance Department at Greenergy Biofuels, Immingham Docks. The technician reports to a supervisor and performs work aligned with their core skills, also undertaking tasks within their competency level with appropriate training.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose and repair faults in plant and equipment, and handle new situations, sharing knowledge with others.
* Perform repairs, maintenance, and efficient operation of plant and equipment.
* Calibrate and perform loop checks on instrumentation related to the site’s control system.
* Configure and program the site’s PLC and SCADA systems.
* Participate in preventative maintenance, inspections, and planned outages.
* Interpret instructions, drawings, and specifications for engineering installations.
* Manufacture, assemble, and install new work.
* Participate in the on-call system for emergency breakdowns and work additional hours as necessary.
* Ensure compliance with legislative standards and site safety policies, including PPE use and safety procedures.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Time-served apprenticeship with an HNC in a relevant discipline.
* Strong technical knowledge of Allen Bradley & Siemens PLCs, SCADA, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
* At least 4 years of maintenance experience in heavy process environments.
* Experience managing third-party contractors, planning, and small project execution.
* Knowledge of industrial networking, calibration, fault diagnosis, and rectification.
* Ability to work within a 24/7 operational environment and adhere to SHE procedures.
* Awareness of PLC systems and SCADA interfaces.
