Overview
Community Dental Service based in Chippenham. This is a part‑time role, 15 hours per week (two days: one of which is a Friday). Working hours are 8:30‑17:00 with an hour for lunch.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a wide range of dental treatment, including all extended duties appropriate to a registered dental therapist.
* Provide care in community dental clinics, domiciliary visits, and hospital sites in Swindon, Bath and Salisbury.
* Participate in inhalation sedation lists, domiciliary care and epidemiological surveys.
* Plan the management of patients, often with additional needs, paediatric patients, and patients with moderate to severe anxiety, demonstrating an understanding of their physical and social needs.
* Maintain patient records following delivery of care.
* Provide oral health advice, plans and instruction to client groups with complex needs and to parents and carers.
* Carry out specialist clinical, restorative or preventative procedures without direct supervision under the direction of dentists within the Community Dental Service or under direct access to defined patient groups.
* Comply with all relevant local and national guidance.
Additional Information
The post holder may be required to deliver services at any of the four sites and in domiciliary settings. There may also be opportunity to participate in Health Inequality Projects in collaboration with the Integrated Care Board.
