Business Development Manager - Dorset/ Hybrid - £65,000
We're working with a client looking to appoint a Construction Business Development Manager to support the growth of their construction pipeline across UK and international projects.
This role will focus on identifying and securing new opportunities, managing bid activity, and supporting projects from early concept stages through to delivery. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams across design, engineering, commercial, and operations to deliver high-quality tender submissions and commercially viable solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive new business opportunities from lead generation through to contract award
* Lead bid activity including PQQs, RFQs, ITTs, and tender submissions
* Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout the bid lifecycle
* Coordinate with internal teams to develop commercially competitive proposals
* Support pipeline management, bid strategy, and smooth handover into project delivery teams
Requirements:
1. Experience within construction business development, pre-construction, or bid management
2. Strong understanding of tender processes and stakeholder management
3. Commercial awareness with the ability to assess bid viability and risk
4. Excellent organisational and communication skills
