My client is a long established law firm with a presence in South Warwickshire who is seeking to appoint a qualified Solicitor with experience of dealing with Court of Protection work with the following key responsibilities: -
· drafting applications, statements and other court documentation
· instructing counsel where appropriate
· advocacy and attendance at Court of Protection hearings
· advising clients, family members, professionals and deputies on capacity and best interest issues
· working closely with the Official Solicitor, local authorities, medical professionals and care providers
· ensuring compliance with the Mental Capacity Act 2005, Care Act 2014 and relevant case law
· supervising junior team members where appropriate
