Job Purpose:
To lead the Procurement function for Veetee by sourcing, negotiating and contracting for ingredients, packaging and services. Delivering competitive sourcing advantage via cost, service, quality and/or innovation and act as a key stakeholder in NPD process, ensuring Veetee are front of innovation opportunities.
Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Sourcing/Supplier Management:
Segment Materials, Packaging, Indirect requirements into sourcing strategies, focusing on delivering competitive advantage.
Generation/Implementation and maintenance of Supplier Scorecards.
Ensuring Supplier Base is aligned with business requirements:
Supplier relationship management:
Reviewing, interpreting and recommending changes to our contract terms with vendors and where necessary, reviewing, amending (where necessary) and or agreeing vendor contract terms.
2. Category Management / Reporting:
Generation of Stock policies for purchased products.
Ownership/generation of monthly spend/sourcing presentation to CEO/Heads of departments – Offering guidance/insight into Headwinds/Tailwinds/risks and opportunities on all elements of sourcing.
Prepare reports/updates/presentations that may be required by the business.
Budget Generation / Cost management.
Generate/Implement and evolve KPIs that accurately portray departments performance.
3. Stakeholder Collaboration & initiatives:
Regular attendance to various packaging / food expos – to ensure we are aware of new technologies/opportunities.
Develop ERP to automate reporting/track activity.
Active collaboration with cross functional teams – including but not limited to NPD, Marketing, Sales, Finance, Technical, Operations in order to achieve common corporate objectives.
Working closely with technical teams in agreeing specification for raw materials and to maintain specification library for raw materials.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
4. Proven experience (5+ years) in a senior procurement role within the food/FMCG sector.
5. Previous experience in procuring ingredients and packaging is desirable.
6. CIPS qualification (or equivalent).
7. Strong background in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiation, and contract management.
8. Track record of delivering cost savings, supplier innovation, and process improvements.
9. Demonstrated ability to develop and manage supplier scorecards and KPIs.
10. Experience presenting sourcing strategies and reports to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
11. Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement automation tools.
Shift Pattern:
12. Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm (Office Based)
