We are currently working in partnership with a Social Housing provider based in Bedfordshire, who are recruiting for multiple trades roles within their Property Services division on six month temporary to permanent contracts. The positions are due to start immediately, working Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. A van and fuel card are provided for commercial use.
The trades roles available are as follows:
1. x3 Electricians
2. x1 Responsive Repairs Plasterer
3. x2 Responsive Repairs Multi-Trades
4. x1 Responsive Repairs Carpenter
5. x1 Responsive Repairs Grounds Worker
6. x5 Voids Multi-Trades
7. x1 Voids Carpenter
8. x4 Planned Works Kitchen Fitters
9. x2 Planned Works Bathroom Fitters
The ideal candidates will hold a full UK Driving Licence and have proven experience of delivering responsive repairs, voids, or planned works within a social housing environment.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
• Completing day-to-day responsive repairs across housing stock
• Undertaking plastering, carpentry, kitchen, or bathroom installations to a high standard
• Carrying out works within void properties to ensure they are ready for re-let
• Delivering planned works programmes including kitchens, bathrooms, and other property upgrades
• Ensuring all works are carried out safely, on time, and in line with compliance requirements
Experience required:
• Experience working within Social Housing or similar domestic maintenance environments
• Proven trade background in at least one of the roles listed above
• Experience of carrying out repairs, maintenance, or planned works on occupied and void properties
Skills, knowledge and expertise required:
• Strong practical trade skills in relevant discipline
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Understanding of health and safety requirements in a housing maintenance environment
