Deputy Manager – Residential Childcare
Location: Coalville, LE67 Salary: £31,000 – £35,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 8-hour shifts | Flexitime available

We are currently recruiting a Deputy Manager for a 3-bed children’s residential home in Coalville. The home provides high-quality care and support to children and young people, helping them build strong foundations for a successful future.

Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a compassionate and driven individual with a proven track record in residential childcare. You’ll be confident in leading teams, managing care plans, and ensuring compliance with the Social Care Common Inspection Framework (SCCIF).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise support staff to deliver outstanding care
* Ensure each young person is supported in line with their placement plan
* Promote a safe, nurturing environment with high expectations
* Collaborate with families, professionals, and external partners
* Attend and contribute to care planning and review meetings
* Manage staffing levels, budgets, and conduct in line with policy
* Uphold safeguarding and health & safety standards
* Contribute to service development and attend management meetings
Person Specification
* Level 3, 4, or 5 Residential Childcare qualification (or equivalent)
* Minimum 1 year’s supervisory experience in a children’s residential setting
* Valid UK Driving Licence (essential)
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and childcare legislation
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour and work therapeutically
* Flexibility to work between 07:30 and 11:00 PM
