Overview

Are you looking for a new CBT role in a friendly team? Are you passionate about providing a vital service to our community? Hounslow NHS Talking Therapies is seeking an experienced CBT therapist to join our friendly team.

* We are also eager to attract Psychologists and CBT therapists trained in other Talking Therapies modalities such as Behavioural Couples Therapy (BCT), Couples Therapy for Depression (CTfD), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Interpersonal Therapy (IPT).

Newly qualified CBT therapists, who have completed a BABCP accredited CBT training, are welcomed to apply. If you are in the process of completing your CBT qualification or awaiting results, you will progress to Band 7 salary upon the receipt of confirmation of successful completion from the board of examiners, effective from the same date.


Responsibilities

* Provide a specialist and caring CBT service to clients primarily suffering mild to moderate mental health problems, including anxiety and depression.
* Provide specialist CBT therapy, facilitate CBT groups and support PWPs to facilitate community and/or in-house workshops.
* Provide advice on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and carers, and supervise other colleagues including trainee therapists, PWPs and trainees from other professional groups as appropriate.

You will be based in the Isleworth Centre team base and Health Centres in the London Borough of Hounslow, as well as home working.

This role will include working with people from different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary, and you will be passionate about providing an equal opportunity for all clients to access our services.

We are committed to the development of our staff and have an in-house CPD programme which is shared with the Trust's other Talking Therapies services, plus access via the London Talking Therapies programme to training in other therapeutic modalities such as IPT, EMDR and Behavioural Couples Therapy.
