Job Summary: The Plant Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of plant operations, ensuring the achievement of production goals, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires a seasoned site leader with a proven track record in turnaround situations and KPI enhancement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive experience in manufacturing, and preferably hold a Six Sigma Black Belt or have an engineering background.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage all plant operations, including production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
* Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product development and launch activities.
* Manage and develop plant staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback.
* Oversee budget preparation and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective operations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Proven experience in turnaround situations and KPI improvement.
* Six Sigma Black Belt certification or equivalent preferred.
* Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Proficiency in using manufacturing software and tools.
