You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver secure and reliable solutions for complex mission environments, contributing to research, system integration, and test-driven development. This is a high-impact role, combining hands-on technical challenges with opportunities to innovate in next-generation communication systems. Key Responsibilities include: Developing and integrating SDR systems using OpenCPI Designing and integrating RF communications systems into larger mission environments Applying test-driven development and system verification approaches Optimising performance of OpenCPI-based applications Conducting vulnerability analysis and enhancing system security Collaborating with engineering and customer teams, producing reports on system performance and improvements OPENCPI ENGINEER ESSENTIAL SKILLS: Proven experience with the OpenCPI framework (design, integration, optimisation) Strong background in RF communications and SDR technologies Knowledge of DSP, RF algorithms, and embedded system development Proficiency in C/C++ and/or VHDL for embedded applications Familiarity with SDR architectures and chipsets Desirable: OSP/BSP development experience Familiarity with GnuRadio, Python, and other SDR tools Linux development and GitLab version control experience Mission system integration and field trial support Experience with real-time test and measurement (e.g. vector signal analysers) TO BE CONSIDERED: Please either apply through this advert or email me directly via will.roebuck@searchability.com.
