The Vacancy The IT Training Manager is responsible for leading the IT Training Team and ensuring the successful delivery of comprehensive training programmes across the firm's IT systems. This role entails the strategic oversight of all training initiatives, supervision of the development of high-quality training materials, and collaboration with various departments to promote effective knowledge transfer and skills improvement. The role operates as part of a job-share arrangement with another IT Training Manager. Both role holders share joint accountability for the overall IT Training strategy, standards and outcomes, with clear agreed ownership of specific initiatives, programmes or stakeholder groups to ensure continuity and clarity. Responsibilities To facilitate team planning and provide clear direction to ensure efficient resourcing for training schedules for onboarding and upskilling. To review and provide guidance in the design of integrated training programmes to meet the development needs of colleagues across the firm whilst promoting adherence to firm policies and guidance. To manage end-to-end training project planning which includes design, development and delivery of multi-location rollouts for updated or new technology. To provide leadership and performance management to other team members in the pursuit of excellence. To oversee and maintain processes as well as monitor administrative tasks such as dealing with course bookings and requests, updating training attendance records and reporting, with reliance on the IT Training Coordinator or IT Trainers for operational execution. To oversee maintenance of settings, updates, templates and collateral within the firm's Learning Management System. Collaborate with leaders within the firm to review training programs, monitor adoption, and evaluate both the quality and effectiveness of training initiatives to support business objectives. Support the review of Training and Development plans for the IT Department. To support the forecasting and financial hygiene relating to the department training budget. This includes following the processes when purchasing approved external development. When there is an operational requirement to do so, deliver training courses. Support change management and promote continual service improvement. Promote adherence to firm policies and guidance as it relates to the training team and training programmes. Undertake any ad hoc projects and tasks as required. Key Skills & Experience Achievement of an appropriate professional qualification or have significant experience of delivering IT training in a professional environment. Proven experience in leading a team or senior role on project delivery such as Primary Trainer. Experience of working with remote teams. Committed to developing own personal and professional skills. Experience developing and delivering training collateral across a range of mediums. Demonstrable experience in leveraging new and innovative approaches to training. Experience of working at an influencing level within an IT Department. Flexible, customer-focussed approach. Strong communication and relationship building skills. Ability to prioritise and organise with proven administrative skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team; a willingness to create and support the objectives for the training team and enhance its reputation within the firm. Who are we looking for?
