Department: Corporate Services and Facilities
Salary: £43,151 - £46,387
This role is available full-time for 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Flexible or compressed working hours are available. The role is based in the office with the opportunity to work one day a week from home.
Do you have a flair for digital design, photography, and video? Do you enjoy creating digital content for social media and other communication platforms?
Can you write engaging and clear content for different purposes and audiences?
You could use these skills to support national security.
We want to tell our story and need your help to identify stories and illustrate them using your digital skills and creativity.
You will generate innovative ideas for social media, create videos, animations, and assets for web content and marketing. You will work with sensitive information, paying attention to detail to spot errors or stakeholder sensitivities.
You will promote HMGCC’s identity, engaging with stakeholders such as academia, industry, government, and the public, supporting STEM outreach, media visits, and events, which may require occasional travel.
You will bring your digital experience to a friendly, dynamic team, working at a fast pace with diverse opportunities for involvement and growth. We support your development through training and workshops.
More About You
To apply, you should have:
* Experience or training in external communications, digital design, or journalism
* Skills in photography, videography, and design tools like Adobe and Canva
* Experience in planning and delivering social media content
Beneficial but not essential:
* Qualification in journalism or PR
* Experience supporting media visits or event planning
* Experience in the public sector
