Here are all the great reasons why you should consider working at Trinity:
About the Geography Department
The Geography department at Trinity School are a passionate and collaborative team, keen to enhance the learning and outcomes of students. The role would support the running of fieldtrips available to our students.
There are currently six geography classes in each year group in Key Stages 3, four classes in Key Stage 4, with one A Level Geography class in both Year 12 and Year 13. Students have four one-hour lessons per fortnight in Key Stage 3. In Key Stage 4 students have five one-hour lessons per fortnight. Students taking A Level geography have nine hours of contact time each fortnight, divided into five hours a fortnight for the physical side of the A Level and the NEA and four hours a fortnight for the human side of the course. Geography is a popular subject at both Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5.
You will be committed to the development and progress of students, able to facilitate and encourage a learning experience which provides students with the opportunity to achieve their individual potential and you will be the sort of person who enjoys a collaborative team working style, relishes a challenge and is resilient. We are interested in hearing from candidates who are either newly qualified or have experience of teaching Geography including leading trips. It is an advantage to be able to teach to A level.
