All UK manufacturing is based at our plant in Goole, East Yorkshire which has recently made significant investment in a new furnace using the latest technology and secures glass manufacture at the site for the next 20 years. The plant, which operates 24/7, can produce some of the most advanced and innovative energy saving architectural glass on the market today.
An exciting opportunity has arisen in the key position of Equipment Coatings Process Engineer to join our Coating team for architectural glass.
Our Team
Reporting to the Coater Manager you will join the Fabrication team and play a crucial part in developing, optimizing, and improving the reliable processes to produce high-quality, durable, and aesthetic glass coatings. The role is ideal for people experienced in this field or has a drive and desire to learn.
What You Will Do
1. Develop and optimize an equipment reliability strategy for architectural glass applications to meet quality, efficiency and sustainability objectives.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Maintenance and Reliability, Production, Operations Excellence and Quality Assurance, to ensure flawless execution in the manufacturing line.
3. Be a contributor for positive people safety and drive an environmental and compliance culture within the Coater.
4. Analyze and troubleshoot coating process issues, implementing corrective actions to enhance process reliability and product performance.
5. Document process parameters, standard operating procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent production quality.
6. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste in the coating process.
7. Lead complex projects in a team-based environment providing coaching and knowledge sharing across the plant.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
8. HNC/HND in engineering related field.
9. Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to conduct root-cause analysis and implement effective solutions.
10. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work in a team environment.
11. Possess a contribution mindset to identify opportunities to continually improve and transform yourself and the business.
12. An open and committed person who will embrace and apply our company culture.
What Will Put You Ahead
13. Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or a related field.
14. Experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
