HGV Class 1 Steel Delivery Driver – Flatbed (Accrington) Location: Accrington Pay: £14.00 per hour PAYE Overtime: Time and a half Job Type: Ongoing, Full-Time Company: Driver Hire Blackburn About the Role Driver Hire Blackburn is recruiting an experienced Class 1 (CE) HGV Driver for ongoing flatbed work delivering steel products in and around the Accrington area. This role is ideal for a professional driver with experience in steel or similar loads, who is confident with strapping and load security and is looking for reliable weekday work with no nights out. You’ll be working with a well-established client and supported by a friendly, local Driver Hire team. Key Responsibilities Operating a Class 1 (CE) flatbed HGV Delivering lengths of steel, including some overhanging loads Safely strapping and securing loads in line with safety regulations Completing deliveries professionally and efficiently Carrying out daily vehicle checks and paperwork Maintaining high safety and compliance standards at all times Working Pattern Day shifts only Monday to Friday No nights out Regular, ongoing work What We’re Looking For Valid Class 1 (CE) HGV licence Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card Proven experience with steel, flatbed, or similar loads Confident with load strapping and securing Good geographical knowledge Safety-focused, reliable, and professional attitude Strong customer service skills Pay & Benefits £14.00 per hour PAYE Overtime paid at time and a half Weekly pay via Driver Hire Blackburn Ongoing contract with consistent hours Full support from a dedicated local team Why Work with Driver Hire Blackburn?
