Location: Bishop Auckland, County Durham, North East, UKWe are working with an excellent business based in Bishop Auckland who are looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join their busy team. This role is ideally suited to someone with a background in an accountancy practice, and must have a chartered qualification.Responsibilities to include:Assist in the computation of the various company accounts and monthly financial reports, both P&L and Balance SheetCalculate monthly accruals, prepayments and depreciationMaintain accurate fixed asset registersInput financial data to the monthly Management Information Packs to given deadlines, and provide variance analysis and commentary as appropriateAssist in the preparation annual budgets and quarterly forecastsDevelop product costing and subsequent profitability analysis within the manufacturing division.Continually adapt and improve all aspects of reporting, utilising strong IT skillsHelp prepare year-end statutory accounts, liaising with auditors as requiredCompute and submit quarterly VAT returns and various other statistical data to the appropriate authoritiesSupport Directors and senior management on an ad hoc basis, to help business decision making, and to ensure that best practice is established and maintainedHelp develop the Finance system within the wider ERP context, to achieve effective and efficient ways of workingAd hoc tasks to help meet the day-to-day responsibilities of the small Finance teamKnowledge, skills and experience:Monthly management accounting experience, preferably within industry/manufacturingExperience of financial modelling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelExtensive exposure to computerised accounting systemsAbility to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, and with external professionalsProven inter personal, relationship building skillsSelf-motivation and flexibility as a team player, willing to embrace the can do culture of the business and play a full role in ensuring the success of the businessAmbition of achieving long-term career growth within the businessPart/Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA etc)For more information, please speak to Nicola at Si Recruitment for more information.TPBN1_UKTJ
