Location: NIAS Headquarters Knockbracken, with travel to Trust sites across Northern Ireland
Contract: Temporary
Hours: Full-time 9am-5pm Monday to Friday

The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive ICT Helpdesk Administrator to join our dynamic ICT Department. This is a rewarding opportunity to support essential technology services that help frontline teams deliver life-saving care across Northern Ireland.

The Role
As an integral part of the ICT team, you will:
Provide ICT Support
1. Act as the first point of contact on the ICT Helpdesk
2. Monitor, log, and manage incidents and service requests
3. Assist in desktop and telecommunications support
4. Ensure issues are resolved promptly in line with Trust procedures
Deliver High-Quality Administration
5. Manage diaries, calendars, mail, and staff records
6. Prepare documentation, reports, agendas, and presentations
7. Maintain the ICT filing system and support meeting coordination
8. Support Trust-wide ICT projects and quality initiatives
Manage Mobile Devices & Contracts
9. Maintain accurate records for mobile voice and data contracts
10. Control the issue and security of mobile devices (phones, tablets, iPads)
11. Verify records, identify redundancies, assist with fleet mapping
12. Liaise with senior managers on usage and contract guidelines
Contribute to Continuous Improvement
13. Work collaboratively with ICT staff and system users
14. Notify team leaders of any service-impacting events
15. Promote new technologies within the Trust
16. Support data access, analysis, and modernisation initiatives
Essential Criteria
Applicants must clearly demonstrate:
Qualifications
One of the following:
HND (or recognised equivalent) + at least 1 years' experience in an ICT service-oriented environment
OR
Five GCSEs (A-C) including Maths and English + at least 2 years' experience in an ICT service-oriented environment
Skills & Experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially under pressure
Confident in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook (or equivalent)
Ability to prioritise, plan, and work collaboratively
