SEND Teaching Assistant
Location: Pupil Referral Unit (PRU), Kidderminster
Contract: Full-time
Salary: Dependent on experience
We are seeking a committed and resilient SEND Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit in Kidderminster. In this role, you will support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities who benefit from a nurturing, structured, and consistent learning environment.

Responsibilities
* Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to access learning and achieve individual targets
* Promote positive behaviour using de-escalation and trauma-informed approaches
* Work collaboratively with teachers, the SENDCo, and pastoral staff to implement individual education and behaviour plans
* Support pupils' emotional regulation, engagement, and overall wellbeing
* Help maintain a safe, calm, and inclusive learning environment
* Record pupil progress and contribute to reviews and meetings as required
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience working with children or young people with SEND and/or SEMH needs
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
* A clear commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
* Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
* A supportive and experienced staff team
* Ongoing training and professional development opportunities
