Senior Operations Manager - FM Service Provider - Healthcare Contract - North London - £70,000+ 5K Car allowance

Fantastic opportunity to work for an FM service provider in London. CBW are currently recruiting for a Senior Operations Manager to oversee all hard services across a healthcare contract (Static site) in North London. The successful candidate will come from a technical M&E background and will have experience in the overall day-to-day running of the hard services contract. In return, the company offers a competitive package paying £75,000 based on experience, along with further training and career progression.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday - 08:00am to 17:00pm (40 hours)
Key duties & Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality Hard FM services, ensuring added value, increased productivity, and cost efficiencies, and encouraging staff innovation for service improvements.
* Recruit, select, motivate, and manage the Hard FM services teams, ensuring ongoing development to high standards of professionalism and customer service.
* Manage planned maintenance regimes.
* Manage resource requirements for Hard FM services, including labor and materials.
* Utilize and administer maintenance IT systems (Labour Management Systems, Building Management Systems, PPM Systems, Stock Control Systems) for efficient staff and resource utilization.
* Maintain data accuracy and database integrity.
* Coordinate with procurement to negotiate with suppliers, ensuring compliance and maximizing savings.
* Assist in developing capital replacement programs aligned with technological advancements and PPM best practices.
* Undertake specialized projects.
* Prepare specifications for subcontracted works and maintenance contracts.
* Organize and implement a rostered 24-hour shift system, including emergency cover and on-call services during non-working hours, weekends, and holidays.
* Participate in the Duty Manager on-call rota.
* Formulate strategies with the general manager to meet service demands, promote continuous improvement, and adapt to changing environments.
* Exercise financial and commercial control over expenditure and income within budgets, taking remedial actions as needed.
* Maximize operational profitability and deliver ongoing cost savings.
Requirements
* M&E Qualified
* Relevant qualification in Hard FM, with membership of a professional institution and/or management qualifications (ILM, BIFM, etc.)
* Experience managing staff in Hard FM within a healthcare environment
* Specialist knowledge of mechanical and electrical processes and procedures, with excellent IT skills
* Financial acumen with the ability to interpret financial statements
* Strong communication and client relationship skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Commitment to health and safety
* Experience in healthcare building maintenance (e.g., PFI, hospitals, pharmaceutical, research facilities) highly desirable
