We offer24 hour supported living facilities in providing care for adultswith Learning Disabilities. We supportpeople with complex Learning Disabilities, Autism, Health needs andPhysical disabilities. Some of our service users are non verbal andothers require higher levels of personal care and manualhandling/hoisting. This is a very hands on role. Weendeavour to create positive family relationships offering a goodcircle of support. There is a strong focus on supportingindividuals' lives in a person centred way which includes variousactivities, shopping, managing own budgets and cooking. We tailorour services to enable people to be as independent aspossible. Please note that you must be a driverto be considered for this role. Shift PatternsThisis a 24 hour service, therefore flexibility is essential. You willbe working a range of shifts from 7:00/8:00 am to 2:00/3:00 pm and2:00/3:00 pm to 9:00/10:00 pm, sleep ins or waking nights, someweekends. Pleasenote that working hours may vary from service to service. Role Responsibility What will I bedoing? This is ahands-on job in which no two days are the same. Your duties willinclude: Promoting theindependence of people we support Supporting a fullrange of daily activities including personal intimate care, supportwith eating and drinking and involvement in the day to dayactivities in the home. PEGfeeding/flushing Following HealthProfessionals guidance and protocols around eating and drinking,behaviour and mobility. Supportingindividuals to stay safe using positive riskassessments. Manual handling& Hoisting Supporting peoplewith medication including creams and lotions Ensuring recordkeeping is maintained to the required standard at all times andcontributing to service monitoring requirements using a digitalrecording system. The IdealCandidate What skills and qualities do I need tohave? Whilstknowledge of learning disabilities and complex needs would bebeneficial, it isn't essential.
