Job Description
We are looking to speak with Project Managers to help us assist our clients deliver high profile projects across the Defence Sector.
As a member of our growing team, you would be working to help us make a difference with our clients in delivering highly complex projects and programmes (none digital).
You would be based out of our Bristol office and most likely spend most of your time mixed-working with colleagues and client teams based across the South West. Most of our roles support hybrid working.
Key deliverables:
1. Leading, managing and developing project teams or work streams as part of larger projects and delivering results through others.
2. Commercially aware; experienced in monthly budgeting/forecasting and managing project budgets.
3. Demonstrating knowledge and experience in one or more related business/infrastructure sector areas.
4. Project Business Case formulation detailing project’s objectives, costs and benefits demonstrating to stakeholders of its value.
5. Demonstrating knowledge and experience of relevant project management skillsets.
6. Building long-term trusted advisor relationships with our clients.
Desired Experience:
7. Previous experience of working with UK Government organisations would be beneficial, particularly defence.
8. Experience of project management and/or programme management, adding value at the initial strategic planning phase all the way into implementation, construction and delivery in the context of infrastructure projects and programmes.
9. Previous experience of procurement and managing NEC contracts would be highly advantageous.
10. Experience of managing contractors, consultants and other advisors on infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
Essential:
11. Educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant subject with relatable experience
12. Project Management Qualification (PRINCE2/APM PMQ/AGILE)
Desirable:
13. Member of the Associaton for Project Management (MAPM)
14. Managing successful programmes - Practitioner APMP
15. Certified project management associate
Other essential requirements:
Owing to the sensitive nature of the works involved in these specialist defence projects, candidates will be required to hold, or be able to hold, valid security clearance (SC) and in order to do so will need to be:
• British Nationals
• Hold a UK Passport
