Job Description
THE ROLE
As a Physiotherapy Assistant at a Barchester care home, you will work under the guidance of the Physiotherapist to make sure our residents get the most of out of life by helping them to reach their best possible physical condition. We'll look to you to provide individualised quality physiotherapy in line with current and evidence-based professional practice, as well our company policies.
You will be required to provide basic administrative tasks to maintain accurate records and an efficient service. You are an empathetic and passionate individual with excellent communication and relationship-building skills who can demonstrate a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology. An interest in the subject field both within and outside the work environment is preferred. Previous experience in a neuro-rehab environment or similar would be advantageous.
ABOUT YOU
To join us as a Physiotherapy Assistant you'll need to have empathy, dedication and a can-do attitude. You will need NVQ 2 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care, or be willing to work towards this qualification. With exposure to so many different areas of care, you will have the opportunity to build on your skills. Above all, you'll have a person-centred approach which means you always deliver the highest standards of care and support.
