Private Client Solicitor – Ilkley A well-regarded regional law firm is seeking an ambitious and motivated Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join its growing team based in Ilkley. This is an excellent opportunity to become a key member of a successful office, working closely with colleagues while managing a varied and high-quality private client caseload. The role would suit a Lawyer who enjoys building long-term client relationships and is confident handling matters independently while contributing to the development of the wider department. You will play an important role in supporting the continued growth of the private client practice and maintaining the firm's strong reputation for exceptional client service. Key Responsibilities Managing a varied private client caseload, including: Drafting Wills Preparing and advising on Trusts Lasting Powers of Attorney Trust and Estate Administration Using case management systems to efficiently manage files and progress matters Maintaining and developing strong relationships with existing clients while building connections with third-party referrers Acting as a senior member of the team within the Ilkley office, supporting its ongoing success and development Contributing to the growth and visibility of the private client department, including involvement in marketing initiatives Managing the financial performance of your matters, including billing and cashflow Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to cross-refer work and support client needs Identifying opportunities to expand client relationships and generate further work Ideally acting as a lead member of the Court of Protection team Skills & Experience Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with experience in private client law Proven experience handling matters such as Wills, Trusts, LPAs and estate administration Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage matters independently Ability to mentor and support colleagues within the department Excellent written and verbal communication skills Professional, approachable and resilient when working with clients and colleagues Benefits 25 days' annual leave plus your birthday off Hybrid working (after successful completion of probation) Continuous professional development Wellbeing hours Health Cash Plan Group Life Assurance Pension contribution Perkbox benefits platform If you are a Private Client Lawyer looking to join a supportive and expanding team where you can build strong client relationships and develop your career, we would welcome a confidential discussion.
