Electronics Technician - Norfolk - EV

One of my key clients in the EV sector is recruiting for a number of specialist Engineers. The company specializes in the development Converters, Motors, Controllers, and other specialist equipment for a variety of industries. The Electronics Technician is an integral part of the Engineering team, responsible for electronics repairs, build & test of electronic & electrical assemblies as required to help develop power systems, motors & motor controllers under direction of the Lead Electronics Engineer. The role is fully on site and offers engineers the opportunity to grow and develop within a leading business.
Key Skills & Experience:
* Experience understanding technical documentation and implementation.
* Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of electronic Engineering.
* Knowledge of Power Electronics Principles.
* Experience reading Schematics & Drawings.
* Experience in failure mode analysis, & V&V testing.
* Ideally, some experience using PCB Cad Software for viewing designs & locating components (ideally Altium but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
1. Soldering and bench assembly of prototype/in house small production & Prototype build.
2. Test fixture building and operation.
3. Fabrication of parts, cables, and test fixtures.
4. First article inspection & testing of received parts.
5. Customization or adjustment / repairs according to written specifications.
6. Create & maintain standards additionally contributing to an efficient process.
7. Create & Promote Ideas for continuous improvement.
8. Complete any other reasonable tasks identified by the line manager or project manager.
9. Spend some time traveling to customers' locations, performing demonstrations and to interface with the customer.
