Salary: £41,818.21 per annum

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Test and Inspect Engineer to join our team at HMP Standford Hill, a category D men's prison.

HMP Standford Hill operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to ensure smooth functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your work impacts prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

You will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.

Requirements
* At least five years experience as an electrician
* Two years experience as a test and inspection electrician or similar (desirable)
* Experience with commercial or industrial electrical systems and catering equipment (desirable)
* Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
* Strong communication skills
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) (desirable)
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* C&G 2367 or 2357 (Electrical Installation)
* C&G 2391 - Electrical inspection and testing
* NVQ level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent
* Good health & safety knowledge
* Organizational, time management, and people skills
