Research Assistant (111369-0326) – University of Warwick, Warwick Medical School, Applied Health
Location: University of Warwick Campus, Coventry. Position Type: Fixed Term Contract (Until 28 February 2028). Hours: 9.25 hours per week (0.25 FTE). Salary: £31,236 to £34,610 pro rata.
Role: This position is available for 23 months starting from 1 April 2026. You will work with a multidisciplinary team of clinicians, public health researchers, and data, social and computer scientists.
Responsibilities
* Support research activities within a multidisciplinary team across public health, data science, and clinical/research settings.
* Contribute to data management, analysis, and reporting of progress to project partner groups in the UK and overseas.
* Attend regular meetings and provide regular progress updates.
About You / Qualifications
* A good honours degree and Master’s degree in a medical, health-related, life, computer or data sciences or a research methods related subject.
* Excellent computing and programming skills in multiple languages/environments; willingness to upskill as needed.
* Experience with machine learning and AI in biomedical settings is favorable.
* Strong problem-solving ability to manage and analyse datasets and to publish academic outputs.
* Ability to communicate progress and engage with project partners.
