Wood has an exciting opportunity for a Communications Manager, Corporate and Transformation to join our team on a permanent basis. You will shape and deliver clear, consistent and engaging communications that help strengthen Wood’s corporate narrative and support the company’s transformation.

As a leader within the Communications function, the role takes ownership for the design, quality and effective delivery of high functioning corporate communications, both internally and externally, setting best practice and supporting excellence across the team.

This role is open to hybrid working from our Aberdeen office.

The Role

The role focuses on designing, planning and delivering corporate communications activities, ensuring messages are accurate, aligned and effectively executed across key channels as well as strengthening Wood’s media presence through purposeful, strategic storytelling, meaningful media relations and disciplined media posting.

You will work closely with the Communications and Marketing teams, HR, Legal, functional and business leaders, as well as external media, agencies, suppliers and partner organisations. The role is responsible for creating and delivering communication plans and outputs, shaping messaging, standards and processes, and providing insight and recommendations to communicators and business leaders. You will also identify, escalate and mitigate communication risks and sensitivities, and hold line management responsibility to ensure high‑quality delivery, alignment and ongoing professional development.

Expected:

8. University degree or equivalent experience in communications or related field
9. Extensive experience in communications or marketing, ideally in an international B2B environment
10. Strong writing, editing and content creation skills
11. Experience delivering corporate, change or internal communications
12. Understanding of communication channels and digital tools
13. Good organisational and project management capability
14. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
15. Manage sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
16. Work effectively with colleagues from different cultures and contribute to a globally aware team environment
17. Understand business priorities and translate them into clear, practical communication solutions
18. Write high quality, engaging and audience appropriate content across multiple formats and channels
19. Contribute ideas that improve the quality and effectiveness of communications and support continuous improvement
