The current home was purpose built in the grounds of Oulton Abbey, the home of an order of Benedictine Nuns in 2017. It offers modern amenities with en-suite facilities in all bedrooms, onsite kitchen with all meals cooked from scratch and beautiful communal rooms for activities and meals. The Nuns set up the original care home over 30 years ago in part of their convent and have continued to offer care and respite to residents from all walks of life including many local people as well as priests and nuns. The home has a catholic ethos and has its own chapel and priest; however, residents from all faiths or none are welcomed to the home. The home was awarded a “Good” rating by the CQC at their last inspection in 2019.
The home and estate are managed by a board of Trustees and is run as a charity.
