Overview
We are seeking a skilled 2nd fix Joiner to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various structures and components. This role requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency with both hand and power tools, and the capability to perform heavy lifting as needed. Joiners play a crucial role in ensuring that all projects meet high standards of quality and craftsmanship.
Duties
* Use power tools and hand tools effectively to complete joinery tasks.
* Ensure all work is plumb, level, and accurately measured.
* Perform heavy lifting when required, particularly when moving large materials or completed assemblies.
* Carry out painting and finishing work as necessary to enhance the appearance of completed projects.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure seamless integration of joinery work with other building elements.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Joiner or Carpenter with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
* Proficiency in using both hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
* Strong understanding of joinery techniques and best practices.
* Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing.
* Knowledge of roofing joinery is an advantage but not essential.
