We’re looking for a Building & Stock Condition Surveyor to join our team in Newton Abbot to undertake stock condition and EPC performance surveys of Teign Housing’s 4000 owned and managed properties around Newton Abbot, Teignmouth, and Cullompton.
Reporting to our Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll have a high level of autonomy, using your technical expertise to interpret the asset lifespan and determine the maintenance cycle. You’ll be responsible for updating and maintaining our systems to ensure compliance with Building Regulations, Housing Standards, and all associated legislation.
We’re looking for someone who can use their technical skills and understanding of our clients and the wider estate to work with the team, taking a holistic approach in identifying areas for development and attention.

Salary: £48,600 (including car allowance)

The Building & Stock Condition Surveyor role:
* Conduct stock condition and EPC performance surveys ensuring compliance with regulations
* Raise tenders and provide necessary CDM and building regulation information
* Provide reports to senior management
* Manage work packages from conception to completion
* Ensure compliance with HSE legislation
Requirements:
* Related degree or willingness to work towards professional qualification
* Technical writing skills, experience with contracts, knowledge of CDM, Building Regulations & Housing Standards
* Experience in construction industry or trade background with management experience
* Proficiency in MS Office
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to organize and participate in tenant consultations
* Customer-focused with ethical decision-making skills
