Job Summary - Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer – Administrator Remote bar one meeting every two months | Flexible Hours) Location - Salisbury, Wiltshire Are you highly organised, detail-oriented, and keen to support your local community? Were looking for a motivated and reliable Parish Clerk to provide essential administrative and governance support to the Parish Council. About the Role As the Parishs Proper Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring all statutory duties are met and that the Council operates smoothly and compliantly. This is a flexible, mainly home-based role, ideal for someone who can work independently and manage their time effectively. Key Responsibilities Prepare and manage meeting agendas, minutes, and official correspondence Maintain Council accounts, process financial transactions, and prepare VAT claims and audit documentation Ensure compliance with legal, governance, and risk requirements Update and maintain the Parish website Advise the Council on policies, procedures, and decision-making Represent the Council when required What Were Looking For Strong organisational and communication skills Previous administration experience Confidence working independently and taking responsibility Willingness to attend training as required Whats on Offer Flexible hours Mainly home-based working Around 20 hours per month, with potential for additional hours £20–£25 per hour (depending on experience) If youre interested, please do send your CV to kfinnis@roundpeg-associates.com
