Service Assistant - Bassetlaw Hospital

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Bassetlaw in this varied and interesting role within the Facilities Department.
Enhancements for Bank Holiday and Weekend work are offered as a part of this role.
Facilities Service Assistant - 12.5 Hours Per Week, 5 days over 7, Working between the hours of 08.30 - 11.00. Includes Weekend & Bank Holidays.
Main duties of the job
General Duties - Service Assistants undertake all appropriate cleaning duties within the hospital maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in the hospital.
This is a physically demanding role with elements of carrying, lifting & moving items. Therefore, the person undertaking this role will need to be relatively physically fit.
Previous experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be given.

Knowledge and Experience
* Evidence of Researching Service Assistant Role
* Previous experience of professional cleaning, catering, portering services, working with the public, e.g. customer services, retail
* Experience/knowledge of Decontamination, e.g, Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour/UVA
Qualifications/Training
* Communicates clearly in writing
* Numerate and literate
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
* Experience of using software systems
Personal Attributes & Skills
* Can demonstrate an understanding of the importance of cleaning
* Can demonstrate an understanding of health & safety
* Experience of team work.
* Awareness of Infection Prevention & Control
