Quantity Surveyor Job Description
Due to continued growth, our client is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team, supporting a long-term framework based in Portsmouth.
This is a key position supporting multi-year programmes of planned and reactive works, ensuring strong commercial performance, accurate forecasting, and effective client relationships.
Quantity Surveyor Key Responsibilities
* Full commercial management of civils & infrastructure projects
* Cost control, forecasting, and reporting
* Subcontract procurement and management
* Contract administration (NEC preferred)
* Managing variations, valuations, and final accounts
* Supporting framework delivery and client engagement
* Working closely with operational teams to ensure project success
Quantity Surveyor Requirements
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Senior QS within:
o Civil engineering
o Utilities or infrastructure projects
* Experience with NEC forms of contract
* Background in frameworks or long-term programmes preferred
* Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
* Ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively
