Job Description
We are seeking a full-time Chartered Engineer with a strong technical background to support delivery of structural engineering projects within the nuclear sector. This role is suited to an experienced engineer who wishes to remain primarily focused on technical excellence, complex problem-solving and high-quality design within a highly regulated environment.
The role will involve hands-on engineering design, analysis and technical assurance, working as part of multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant and robust engineering solutions. There is no requirement for formal line management, allowing the role holder to focus on technical delivery and expertise.
Role Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality engineering design and analysis for nuclear projects from concept through to detailed design and implementation.
Produce, review and technically assure calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports in accordance with nuclear, industry and statutory standards.
Act as a technical specialist within project teams, providing expert input and supporting robust engineering decision-making.
Contribute to nuclear safety cases, substantiation and design justification activities where required.
Support independent checking, verification and technical assurance activities.
