We are seeking a Manager to lead our Economic Crime Unit (ECU), part of the National Environmental Crime Unit (NECU). The successful candidate will lead a specialist team dedicated to removing the financial benefit from criminals.
Responsibilities
* Provide strategic leadership for financial investigations and ensure compliance with the Proceeds of Crime Act (POCA).
* Manage two Team Leaders (Asset Denial Team and Money Laundering Investigation Team) and a Senior Financial Intelligence Officer; motivate, develop, and manage performance and delivery.
* Collaborate with internal teams (Investigatory Teams, Intelligence & Partnerships, Legal) and external partners (Police, National Crime Agency, HMRC); influence at senior levels to support EA priorities.
* Support the wider organisation in improving practices and POCA understanding; share lessons learned, contribute to technical documentation, and advise other enforcement officers nationwide.
* Ensure the ECU operates as a nationally dispersed team with enforcement staff and partners across the country, handling serious and complex criminality involving organised networks.
Experience/Skills Required
* Exceptional leadership skills, ideally with experience leading a dispersed team; good understanding of financial investigations and the POCA.
* Experience in: working in law enforcement and understanding the National Intelligence Model; effective communication, feedback, performance management, and stakeholder relationship building; working under pressure and prioritising varied workloads; identifying areas for improvement and leading changes to practices; developing and enhancing team and individual capabilities.

* Hybrid working role with flexibility to work from home and your nearest office; travel across the country for meetings and operational duties. Incident response may be required and could attract additional payment. Training and workplace adjustments available.
