This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an engineering or sheet metal background who enjoys working closely with drawings, customers and production teams to turn ideas into manufacturable products.
If you like solving problems, working with customers, and seeing your work move through to production, this could be the perfect role.
What you’ll be doing
In this varied role you’ll be involved in the whole process of turning customer drawings into finished products.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Creating accurate quotations using JobBOSS from customer drawings and CAD data – from single sheet metal components to full assemblies
* Reviewing and updating pricing for ongoing production work
* Inputting and analysing data within our production control planning system
* Liaising with subcontractors for finishing and machining processes
* Supporting purchasing activities for raw materials, fasteners and engineering consumables
* Working with customers to review designs and reduce cost.
What we’re looking for
We’re interested in people who have:
* A background in engineering or fine limit sheet metalwork
* Strong understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes
* Experience with CNC production methods
* Knowledge of finishing processes
* Confidence communicating with customers, suppliers and production teams
* A practical, solution-focused approach to problem solving
