The role:
We currently have a great new opportunity for a Catering Team Lead to join our team at Winfield Hospital, based in Gloucester. You will be reporting into the Catering/Housekeeping Manager. You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day delivery of catering services for the Hospital.
Essential:
1. Current level 3 food hygiene certificate
2. Relevant experience from industry with team lead skills
3. Outstanding knowledge of food, culinary skills, and expertise
4. Have an approachable, positive and proactive manner with a growth mindset
5. Demonstrated ability to lead a team
6. Effective communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
7. Sound written and verbal communication skills
8. Planning and organisational skills
9. Good computer skills (MS Office package)
10. Flexibility and adaptability
Desirables:
11. Catering Team Lead experience
12. Knowledge of special dietary requirements
13. Food Safety Agency Allergen Awareness Training
14. Experience in covering multiple duties within the Catering Department, IE Chef, Catering assistant
15. Demonstrate commercial and financial awareness
16. Previous health sector experience
Operational Responsibilities:
17. Lead and supervise food preparation and delivery for the Hospital
18. Support Catering/Housekeeping manager with timely production of the catering team rota
19. Assist with training the Catering team
20. Placing orders
21. Monthly stock take
22. Support Catering/Housekeeping manager to monitor and control food cost within budgeted guidelines
23. Oversee the food safety management system in line with all Ramsay catering policies
Measurable Outcomes:
24. Follow Company guidelines on purchasing from nominated suppliers;
25. Adherence to Ramsay food hygiene policy, COSHH policy and HACCP policy.
