As a Kitchen Porter for Sodexo at Hurstpierpoint College, 'Hurst Street', Hassocks, West Sussex, BN6 9JS (Limited bus service; driving is required), you will be a vital part of the kitchen team. Your responsibilities include maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food & beverage areas. Your cheerful, can-do attitude will contribute positively to everyone's daily experience.

What You’ll Do:
1. Wash crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, and equipment, including food service tools.
2. Keep floors, walls, bins, fridges, freezers, and delivery areas clean and tidy to a high standard.
3. Assist with crushing and disposing of cardboard and boxes.
4. Transport provisions, equipment, and catering items as needed.
5. Follow all health and safety, fire, hygiene, and COSHH regulations, using chemicals/detergents correctly.
6. Report accidents, near misses, shortages, and safety concerns to the supervisor.
7. Ensure food is prepared with care, especially considering customers' dietary restrictions such as allergies.
What You Bring:
1. A positive attitude, professionalism, and respect for others.
2. Ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods (up to 8 hours).
3. No prior experience required.
