We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Assistant SEND to join our fantastic team at Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA). This is a permanent post working 35 hours per week, term‑time only plus 5 INSET days. The starting salary is £22,710, with a full‑time equivalent of £26,403 (Grade 4).
Main Purpose
Under the direction of the SENDCO and senior leaders, you will provide efficient, responsive and high‑quality administrative support to the Targeted Additional Support Team, managing day‑to‑day operations, ensuring compliance with school policies and contributing positively to the wider ethos and aims of the school.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high‑level administrative support to the SEND department.
- Maintain accurate manual and computerised records, producing reports and statistics as required.
- Draft letters and communicate with parents and external agencies.
- Collate and analyse data, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
- Arrange meetings, coordinate events and take high‑quality minutes.
- Respond independently to correspondence where appropriate.
- Support pupil welfare, including first aid and liaising with parents (training provided).
- Maintain effective links with the main school administration team.
- Manage stationery supplies and departmental resources.
- Use ICT systems such as Word, Excel, databases, email and internet systems.
- Support wider school administrative duties, including examination invigilation where appropriate.
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong ICT and administrative skills, enabling accurate record‑keeping, report production and timely data analysis.
- Proactive, highly organised, able to multitask and work independently.
- Experience in an educational or SEND environment is an advantage.
