This is an excellent opportunity for a Supervising Social Worker to join the Connected Peoples Team in Crewe on a full-time locum basis. Offering an attractive hourly rate of £35, this three-month assignment provides the chance to make a meaningful difference to the lives of children and young people across Cheshire West and Chester. You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality services that promote children’s wellbeing, safety, and long-term stability.

What you will do
* Safeguard and promote the welfare of children by delivering high-quality services, ensuring their safety and wellbeing remain a priority
* Complete detailed assessments for family and friends carers, including those applying for Special Guardianship Orders
* Undertake court-directed work, demonstrating a strong understanding of court processes, care proceedings, and permanence planning
* Carry out robust assessments within agreed timescales, which may include out-of-county travel and occasional overnight stays
* Work collaboratively within a dynamic team to achieve the best possible outcomes for children and their carers
