The Opportunity: Workshop Engineer
Contract: Permanent Location: Dewsbury, Forkway
Forkway is one of the UK's leading material-handling solutions providers, employing around 100 people across three Handling Centres and several strategic service hubs.
The Impact You Will Have Carry out the repair and maintenance of industrial, agricultural, and warehouse trucks, along with associated equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and profitability.
Identify, record, and report all faults and damage accurately using the appropriate Forkway documentation.
Deliver a professional, responsive, and high-quality service to customers by maintaining and repairing materials-handling equipment to the highest standards while adhering to all Health & Safety regulations.
Complete all required paperwork—service sheets, breakdown reports, accident reports, timesheets, quotes, and more—accurately and on time.
What Will Help You Excel in This Role Previous experience working on Cars, Vans, HGVs, Forklifts, or Plant machinery.
Ability to strip and rebuild hydraulic valve banks, cylinders, and gear pumps.
Competence in interpreting test data for main, forward/reverse clutch, torque converter pressure, and performing full stall tests.
