Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Stores Operative to join a busy stores department within a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role within a small team, supporting goods-in, dispatch, and stock control activities.
The ideal candidate will have 12 years experience in a similar role and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Check incoming goods against delivery notes within agreed timeframes
* Book in deliveries and update stock on internal systems
* Pick, pack, and dispatch goods in line with purchase orders
* Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient stores area
* Raise documentation/invoices for outgoing deliveries
* Carry out regular stock takes and maintain accurate inventory records
* Issue materials to production teams
* Support continuous improvement of processes and workflows
* Assist in producing weekly/monthly performance and stock reports
* Provide support to the cutting department during peak periods or absences
