The Company Our client is a specialist design-and-install contractor operating within the commercial interiors sector, delivering high-performance interior systems on complex, design-led projects. The business works closely with architects, consultants and main contractors to deliver technically robust, high-quality installations. The Role They are seeking an experienced Design Manager to lead design delivery across large-scale commercial projects. The role sits within the design team and works closely with project delivery, manufacturing and site teams to ensure design intent is communicated clearly from concept through to installation. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for managing design programmes, coordinating with contractor design teams, and supporting site delivery to ensure accuracy, quality and programme compliance. Key Responsibilities Act as Design Manager on multiple live projects from pre-construction through to manufacture and installation Coordinate and communicate design intent to contractor and consultant teams Manage design programmes, deliverables and approvals to meet project deadlines Produce and review detailed drawing packages, schedules and technical information Support site teams to ensure installations reflect approved designs Collaborate internally with manufacturing and project teams to resolve design issues Experience Required Proven experience delivering commercial interior projects in a design management role Strong knowledge of partitioning systems and interface coordination Experience working with main contractors, consultants and design teams Clear understanding of design deliverables on major projects Ability to support site delivery and quality assurance Skills & Attributes High attention to detail with a strong design-led mindset Able to manage time effectively and take ownership of multiple projects Confident communicator with both clients and internal teams Proactive, organised and solutions-focused Software Strong AutoCAD and Excel skills Working knowledge of Revit preferred InDesign and Photoshop knowledge advantageous What’s on Offer Collaborative and experienced team environment Ongoing professional development and learning opportunities Exposure to high-profile commercial projects Competitive salary and benefits package Private healthcare
