Within EUSR, our Product Management team develops and maintains a wide portfolio of sector standards, schemes, and programmes across the whole lifecycle, working with employers and key stakeholders to ensure they are valid and relevant. All of our schemes result in registration on EUSR. Working in the EUSR department of Energy & Environment Awards and across the product lifecycle, the Qualifications Development Lead supports the Product Manager in the development, review, and continuous improvement of our schemes and programmes to meet the needs of a sector that will play a key role in the delivery of the UK's net zero targets.
Although our schemes and programmes are not regulated, we align our processes with Ofqual's Conditions of Recognition where relevant and collaborate closely with employers and key stakeholders in our sector, including training providers and industry groups, to ensure the content and assessments are valid and relevant.
The Qualifications Development Lead will ensure all product milestones and deadlines are met through proactive project management of developments, including the recruitment and management of third-party Associates involved in the development process. Working as part of a small team, the role will also involve a variety of administrative tasks related to product and service development, including support materials.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, reviewing, and refreshing schemes in line with our product development process, creating engaging learning materials, and managing assessment content. The role also involves building relationships with employers, training providers, industry groups, and awarding organisations to ensure our offerings meet sector needs.
The Qualifications Development Lead will lead scheme review meetings, manage third-party associates, oversee handovers to operational teams, and work with marketing to communicate updates. The role also champions innovative training delivery approaches, including new technologies, to enhance programmes.
We seek a proactive and experienced Qualifications Development Lead who can:
1. Manage a product portfolio across its full lifecycle.
2. Design qualifications and assessments and develop learning and support materials.
3. Work confidently with a range of stakeholders at all levels.
4. Communicate clearly in writing and verbally, adapting to different audiences.
5. Plan, organise, and deliver projects effectively while meeting deadlines.
6. Make sound decisions, take initiative, and work independently.
7. Possess experience in the energy and utilities sector, product management in an awarding or professional body, and familiarity with computer-based learning and assessment, which would be advantageous.
Recently established, Energy & Environment Awards is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Energy & Utility Skills Group and an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation. We focus on the energy and utilities sector, delivering apprenticeship end point assessments, regulated qualifications, and EUSR—the sector's register of skills and industry-recognised training programmes.
